About us

homeimg4Eastwood Community Centre is a not for profit community organisation based in the City of Burnside,  run by a volunteer Management Committee comprising local residents, staff, Councillors and Centre participants. The Centre aims to foster and encourage personal growth and lifelong learning within a caring, friendly, non-discriminatory environment.

We provide a diverse range of community programs, events and activities that meet the needs and interest of the local community. The building was originally the Bible Christian Methodist Church established in 1879 later to become the Eastwood Methodist Church and was purchased by the City of Burnside for the local residents some 37 years ago. Today it stands as a reflection of that commitment to residents of all ages within the local community.

Today the Centre is the hub of the Eastwood community and is supported with a diverse range of service provider organisations, and people who initiate and develop groups, which are of benefit to the local community. You can engage in a diversity of activities that….

  • connect you to other members of the community
  • relax and enjoy some time for yourself in our community garden
  • share your skills and experience
  • learn something new
  • volunteer your time
  • access affordable space for hire
  • start your own class or interest group supported by the Centre

We look forward to catching up with you at the Centre.
